Fire From The Sun: Rise Of A Queen: Epilogue Ise, Japan, Mie Prefecture: Okage Yoko-chō: In the broad neighborhood of Okage Yoko-chō, an offshoot and side street just outside of the famous Oharai Machi area, excitement and a joyous feeling filled the air. Hundreds, perhaps even thousands of people walked up and down the streets of the historical and ancient area. Vendors were at almost every corner, selling traditional Japanese cuisine, drinks, and merchandise. Banners and decorations hung from every door and window of shops and buildings that were built to resemble those from long ago times, even as far back as the 1500’s. On the window sills, display stands, and even on some of the roofs, the noble Japanese flag stood proud, flapping gently in the chill wind. The smells of hot food, fruits, and desserts filled the whole area, filling the people with hope and festivity. The sun was just starting to get low, signaling another day soon coming to a close. But no one seemed to

Fire From The Sun: Rise Of A Queen Chapter 25 For long moments that seemed longer than eternity, Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi stared at each other, the tension in the air thick enough to slice with a knife. But while the sun goddess looked at her brother with cool, narrowed eyes, the moon god’s were filled with rage and resentment. How dare she? How dare she come back and ruin a plan that was perfection? The little wench was supposed to be disposed of by their mother Izanami, who shared his disdain of the goddess and their father, Izanagi. They were the ones who deserved to be defeated and locked away forever! For countless years Tsukuyomi had to endure the humiliation of everyone fawning over Amaterasu, how beautiful she was, how kind she was, and how she loved and wanted to help the weak, pathetic mortals. Everyone loved her, admired her. No one talked about how he, Tsukuyomi, the very god of the moon itself, inspired humans in coming up with engaging, thought-provoking works of

Fire From The Sun: Rise Of A Queen Chapter 24 “Hanami?” At first, the voice was so quiet, the young Japanese girl thought it was just her imagination. A bygone memory of long ago. She sighed and decided to ignore it. She didn’t want to answer anyone right now. She just wanted to rest. She just wanted the peace and quiet. She took in a deep breath and tried to relax her body. Yes, that’s all she wanted now. The smooth, comforting darkness and the quiet. But she couldn’t help that small, nagging feeling in the back of her mind that something terrible had happened, that she was here because of something unexpected. Well, whatever brought her here, she wasn’t complaining. She just wanted to be here and just forget. Whatever happened, she wanted to forget it! But the voice was there again, this time a little louder and a bit more insistent. “Hanami!” With an annoyed, tired groan, Hanami flickered her eyes open and sat up. When she blinked and looked around her, she gasped

Fire From The Sun: Rise Of A Queen Chapter 23 Amaterasu closed her eyes shut and concentrated hard, willing the memories of the powerful and majestic sword, Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, to flow through her mind. Many knew of Susanoo’s terrible and volatile temper, even scaring some of the other powerful gods. They hurried away from him whenever he would come near. Many had called for him to be banished forever from Takamagahara, the indescribable heavenly realm of the Kami, after she and the storm god had one last, terrible fight, for sadly it resulted in one of her precious maiden servants losing her life. The gods had hoped to finally have peace in the heavenly realm, but their father, Izanagi, couldn’t bear to banish him forever after losing their mother. Instead, it was for a short time. Remorseful after being banished, Susanoo traveled the Earth Realm until soon, he came upon the terrible beast Orochi. After careful planning and using his cunning, he defeated the destructive

Fire From The Sun: Rise Of A Queen Chapter 22 The four warriors cautiously got closer and closer to the monstrous creature, their eyes narrowed in determination. Each knew that whatever the outcome of this battle, it will be talked about for centuries to come. Many mortal poems, fables, myths, and even playwrights were influenced by great battles and quests that happened in the past. Today would be no different. Of course, many situations were exaggerated and embellished over the years. But it was the message, the emotion and lesson from those long-ago tales that moved many people’s hearts and souls, inspiring them to go on great adventures or accomplished near impossible feats themselves. This was why mortals not only feared the gods, but were in awe of them and greatly admired them. If the gods and mortals can accomplish such great adventures and go through heart-breaking tasks to achieve their goals so long ago, some even finding love, why not them today? Yes, the stories and
